Dyson DC14 Series -DC17 Series - DC24 Series - DC25 Series

The DC24 and the DC25 Ball have amazing maneuverability to take the strain off of you while vacuuming. It has a direct drive motorized brush bar. This improves pick-up on carpets by sweeping the dirt, dust and fibers trapped in the carpet pile into the constant Dyson airflow.

Because The Ball™ can tilt and pivot (unlike conventional wheels), a simple turn of the wrist allows you to steer through a wide arc, making it easy to maneuver around furniture and obstacles.

The DC14, DC17 and DC25 Series have an easier to use telescopic wand. Like a telescope it expands and contracts while the wand on the DC24 models needs to be reversed. The wand is convenient but it is still not as easy or quick to use as the wand on the DC14, DC17 and DC25 Series.

The DC17, DC24 and DC25 Series utilize a 2 motor system, one for suction, and one for the Brushbar. The DC17, DC24 and the DC25 use a direct drive motor to power the Brushbar that improves pick-up on carpets. The DC17, DC24 and DC25 Series use a direct drive motorized brushbar which gives you more efficient cleaning.

The DC14, DC17, DC24 and DC25's Cyclones have been reversed for better separation.

The DC14 and DC17 achieve 150,000 Gs of centrifugal force.

The DC14 have a wide channel for easy pick-up of larger pieces of debris.

The Filter is on top of the DC14, DC17 and DC25's clear bin for easier cleaning.

The crevice tools are curved on the DC14's & DC25's to reach into corners or under objects.

The DC24's have a reversible wand with 17 foot expandable hose. The wand must be separated from the hose, reversed and reattached to the hose in order to conveniently use this feature. The DC14, DC17 and DC25's telescope reach wands expand at the touch of one button which makes it easier to use.

The handle area on the DC14's & DC25's are larger for easier handling.

The DC24 and DC25's have an on/off button for the brushbar located next to the power switch.

The DC24 is lightweight. It is slimmer and lighter than any other Dyson upright vacuums. It is easy to push and ideal for those that want a slimmer and lighter vacuum, for moving from room to room and storage.

The DC17, DC24 and DC25's use a 2-motor system. One motor is used for suction and another motor for the brushing and agitation.

Bagged Vacuums: Bags clog suction. When the vacuum cleaner is empty, clean air flows into the machine and out through the pores of the bag. However as soon as you start to use the machine the bag starts to fill with dust and debris. The bag acts as a filter and the machine starts to lose suction. This is because the pores of the bag begin to clog with the dust that the machine has picked up. This restricts the airflow which causes loss of suction power.

The Dyson Way: Spinning air creates centrifugal force. By making the air stream spin, dirt and debris are subjected to centrifugal force. The dirt and debris are thrown out of the air. Because the airflow is unobstructed there's nothing to clog, so suction power remains constant.

Performance: The Dyson Root Cyclone has no loss of suction, so it maintains constant suction, room after room. Other vacuum cleaners can lose up to 50% of their suction after picking up just 10oz of dust.
